hh.jpgAfter the 1-0 defeat to Kortrijk Lierse.com registered the first reaction of trainer Herman Helleputte.

“We began the match well, the first twenty minutes we were especially strong centrally. From there came the chances, as I had predicted before the match. After the penalty it got more difficult, and Kortrijk resorted to compact organisation. Everyone could see that we’ve tried everything, but it just wouldn’t work. In the last 15 minutes we’ve used the long ball, but contrary to what I’ve asked, we played it too much through the centre. Janssens competed well, but the loose ball was too often Kortrijk’s. It should have gone down the flanks, that’s more difficult to defend against. There was perhaps more in it for us today, but Kortrijk have proved that they are not top of the league for nothing. They’ve got two quick forwards with Backx and N’For, with a good Kums just behind and a strong defence. We’ve  had the better of the match now two weeks running, but no points to show for it.” Kortrijk trainer Van Haezebrouck thought Lierse were strong at Charleroi last week, and had warned his team. After the penalty he saw good organisation in his team. One minus point was the bad injury to N’Diaye, who will miss the rest of the season.
