Lierse dominated the whole game but could not create a lot of real chances. Lierse took two times the lead, but Hoogstraten could equalize two times very fast. The red-whites had a lot of old acquaintances in the team. Exl-Lierseplayer and assistant-coach Frank Braeckmans is now headcoach of Hoogstraten and ex-Lierseplayers Karel Snoeckx and Tim De Keyser are part of the team from the third division 3B.
