Lierse has, with an eye on next season, taken on a strikers trainer, the Dutchman Nico Jansen.
Jansen (15/01/53) has had a prestigious career as a striker. He began as a professional with FC Amsterdam, where he scored 41 goals in 78 matches in three seasons. In November 1975 he completed a transfer to Feyenoord. He scored 43 goals in 68 matches for the Rotterdam team. After that he moved to Belgium with RWDM, where he scored 55 goals in five seasons. In the last days of his career, he played for KSK Londerzeel and Boom. After a short spell as trainer, he managed several café businesses, including in Berlaar and Lier.
Jansen will coach the Lierse strikers 1-2 times a week.
