From this season, Lierse will produce a Supporters Guide, with all the useful club info for every supporter.
12,000 copies of this guide will be printed, and will be sent to all Lierse supporters who registered in recent seasons.

With this Supporters Guide, we want to give an - early - kickoff to the new season. You’ll notice that K.Lierse S.K is an ambitious Club, that wants to take it’s place, where it belongs. That is of course in First Division.

After - a to say the least  - very fluctuating 2007-08 season, the board, coaching staff, all the players, and all the assistants are ready to get cracking again. You’ll notice that if you go through our supporters guide.

We’re ready for the return via the front door, and we’re of course counting on you. Because without its fans, a club is nowhere.

In this guide, you’ll find more information about season tickets, our vision for the future, our youth work, our (re-) building plans, our youth academy, our sporting plans, our business club, information over the renting of rooms, our Fanday and the website.

This system is exceptionally for students in daytime education from the age of 14 and is unique in Belgium.
The system of spread payments offers students the chance to pay their season ticket over 4 parts without additional cost. For this system K.Lierse S.K. has found a reliable partner in KBC, who fully support the project.

How does it work?
   - I go to one of the participating KBC offices in my neighbourhood (under 18s do this accompanied by parent or guardian)
   - I open free of charge a current account with KBC with relevant normal conditions
About a week later I can collect in the KBC branch my season ticket + KBC Bankcard with Lierse logo

K.Lierse has after long negotiations, come to an agreement with WDE Holding over an exclusive sponsorship arrangement. After the Club made a sporting, financial and directorial turnaround at the end of last year, a new
chief sponsor has been sought. Although Lierse at the moment play in the Exqi League (2nd Division), there were various parties prepared to come in as chief sponsor in the new story of Lierse.
But for the Board of the Club it didn’t seem possible match the long term vision of the club in a lucrative contract
that at least equated to the ambition of the club. Through the internationalisation of the club and affiliation with
overseas football academies, the board wanted to get in a European-type sponsor. These negotiations are
currently in progress, but in a 1st division scenario.
Because this is not (yet) in place, the Board of Directors of Wadi Degla Egypro Holding decided to step in as
sponsor. Egypro is the construction leg of Wadi Degla Holding.
This commercial association gives WDE an important financial advantage, due to the strong brand name of the club,
it’s charisma, the very strong fanbase and the anticipated improved sporting performances.
Both parties agreed on a sponsorship for one year, with an option for a further three. The total value of the
contract is close to three million Euro, the biggest ever contract for Lierse. With this the possibility remains for
other big sponsors to come on board, or to take over the WDE contract partly or in full. Also within this contract, WDE can take on new sponsors.

Lierse chairman Leo Theyskens: “There were many candidates to come on board with us as sponsor.
But ultimately I’m convinced that we have made the right decision with Wadi Degla Egypro. They know us of course.
They are joining in our project and it’s logical that they want to get themselves better known in the European market. It does indeed involve a large figure, some 1 million Euro per year, but I know for sure that they can earn that back in the long term.”

Maged Samy (Wadi Degla Holding): “I have convinced my shareholders that this is a good investment. I’ve already said that our ambitions with this club extend very very far. Lierse is a club with an exceptional charisma.
With a rich tradition also and with a loyal support. The influence shall quickly extend further than the region or
province. So both parties can only become better as a result.”

Today, Friday 13th June, K.Lierse S.K. and Charlie Miller have come to a mutual agreement over the annulment of his contract with the club.
A legal agreement was made,  which consisted of Lierse buying out the remaining two years of Lierse’s contract.
Both Lierse and Charlie Miller wish to emphasize that the departure is taking place with no animosity.

Chairman Leo Theyskens: “The club, and especially myself are especially grateful to Charlie for what he has meant to us. In the short time in which he was here, he has made un unforgettable impression on us and our supporters.
But it was too difficult for him. He misses his family, especially his children. He wants to go back to Scotland, where he will look for a club and where he’ll begin training to be a coach. We’re separating as friends.”

Charlie Miller: “Of course I find it as shame to leave this club. I’ve had a fantastic time here. I’ll never forget how I’ve been welcomed here by the players, the board and especially the supporters of this beautiful club. I’ll always cherish Lierse deep in my heart and I’ll definitely come back to see a few matches. It’s never nice to leave, but I know that I’m only leaving behind friends. That’s a blessing.”

Neel De Ceulaer, Sporting Manager: “Charlie was one of the stars of Lierse, and also of the League. But Charlie also understands that the club’s ambitions extend further than what he can offer. The competition for a place in the first team is going to be heavy next season. The players too find it a shame that he’s leaving. Charlie was able to motivate other players and was always one of the players to lighten the atmosphere. I hope that he finds his way as a trainer and I hope to see him back at one of our matches.”

ned.jpgNderim Nedzipi is a 24-year old central, left footed midfielder from Macedonia. He transfers from Rabotnicki Kometal in Skopje. That’s the top team in the Macedonian capital. With this team he was League Champions three times and this season Cup winners.

Nedzipi is a playmaker and goalscorer. He is generally acknowledged as one of the best plyer inMacedonia. In the UEFA Cup Rabotnicki knocked out Hungarian champions Debrecen amongst others. After they had also surprisingly knocked out Lille, he played for Rabotnicki against British side Bolton Wanderers. Although his team lost, the British newspaper The Times wrote that Nedzipi was the one player in his team who could comfortably play in the Premier League. Nedzipi is a technically proficient player, but not afraid to work. He is the undisputed captain and leader of his team. He directs his team, but can also recuperate the ball himself. He has an amazing football brain. His long passes are legendary. He can easily dribble past an opponent, he scores, but also lets his team mates score.

The talented midfielder began his career at Slogo Jugo Magnat Skopje. From there he went as a 17-year old to Germany, where he signed firstly for Wolfsburg and later for Hertha Berlin. Due to a number of minor injuries, he didn’t get to play. He returned to Macedonia where he initially played for Vardar Skopje, but for the last three years with Rabotnicki. This season Rabotnicki were League champions with a thirteen point advantage over the second place. They also won the Cup Final 2-0 against Milano Kumanovo. Two goals from Nedzipi.

On Lierse TV you can watch a compilation of goals of Nedzipi, and an interview.

On the site also some photos of the Nedzipi signing.

In a letter to the chairman of Verbroedering Geel, Herman Verkest, Wadi Degla Investments in the name of Leo Theyskens and Maged Samy have let it be known that the collaboration with Geel is off.

According to the Board of Verbroedering Geel there is currently no value in a collaboration and the situation within Verbroedering Geel is too precarious to take risks.
If Geel is ready to offer again sufficient support, Wadi Degla is prepared to sit round the table again after next season.
Wadi Degla wishes Verbroerdering Geel every success in the venture.
